Geography and climate
Wyster consists of three parts: a large part in the south
and two smaller parts in the northwest and the northeast.
The large part in the south is called 'Siethyrwirc', located
on the western part of the island of (NAME ISLAND), which
Wyster shares with the Madian Union,
Helvetiania, and Mergania.
The northeastern part is an island; here the country's
capital Hreawirc is located. This island is confusingly
called 'Wyster' and is therefore unofficially called
'Wyster Island'.The northwestern part is called 'Glaster'
and part of the mainland of the large continent of Uletha;
it borders Kara
on the west and {NATION} on the north.
Dozens of smaller islands surround the three larger parts,
including the long island off the coast of Glaster, known
as Mohyspoor.
The smaller western part of Wyster Island is semi-flat,
with altitudes increasing towards the cliffs of the
northern coast of Greath and with prominent hills in its
center. The larger eastern part of the main island is
more rugged and altitudes reach up to ca. 2000 m. The
highest mountain, which is also the highest mountain of
Wyster as a whole, is the Breudhyn (1995.4 m), located on
the tri-border point of counties Hlierdhe Sceurne,
Hlierdhe Ludhe, and Troc.
Glaster is very hilly in its central and northern areas and
home to several rivers, while others originate in neighbouring
Kara. The counties of Thillyn and Foodyn in the west are flatter.
Siethyrwirc, named after the city in its centre (or more
properly after the lake that is called after the city), is
divided by a large hilly region that stretches from the
northwest, in the county of Saar sie Emer, to the border
with the Madian Union in the southeast in the counties
of Caenna Peg, Sciibh Peg, and Marra Corp. Several rivers
have their sources in these hills, including the river
Sciibh, which is the country's longest. North of the
hills are several smaller and larger lakes, of which the
Nymb sie Siethyrwirc around the city of the same name,
is the largest. In the west is the peninsula of Hussaar,
which is known for its vast sand dunes and heath
landscapes.
Wyster is almost entirely surrounded by seas. The
following bodies are officially recognised by the Wystrian
government:
Saern Glaesdo (Strait of the Two Glasters);
the strait between Saar Beardh-Greath and the island of Mealle
Faer Maec (Round Sea); the water between
Glaster, the Beaker Islands, Thlaeban, Gaerdheni, Greath,
and Saar Beardh
Torth Vier (Gulf of Vyr); the water between
Gaerdheni, Thlaeban, Neussenc, Bealsenc, and Greath
Faer Orh (Empty Sea); the water between
Wyster's northern neighbour {NATION} and Wyster
Faer Moorg (Emerald Sea); the large sea
east of Wyster
Saern Caemaen (Middle Strait); the strait
between the southern part and the two northern parts of
the country.
Faer Tircis (Turquoise Sea); the gulf
south of Siethyrwirc that also borders the Madian Union
Faer sie Darceeth (Darcodian Sea); the large
sea west of Wyster.
