HINTE
 Hinte
is a new municipality that was separated from
Alexanderstad territory in 2016. It consists of the
urban centres of Hinte proper, Belling and Pax Christi and
is located on the north-eastern point of the West Island. A
large part of Hinte proper is dedicated to the presence of
the international airport of Alexanderstad, the terminal of
which is in fact a combined residential, commercial and
business area. The origins of the name can be found in the
north-west German region of Ost-Friesland. Hinte borders
Alexanderstad,
Jaltadaburg,
Friescheburg, as well as (by sea)
Groningen,
Oranjewijk, and
Waterland.
