ORANJEWIJK

Oranjewijk is a municipality in Kronenburg. It is the middle one of the three municipalities on the East Island (bordering Oosterland and Markenland) and has about 423,000 inhabitants. Apart from the capital city with the same name, which was founded in 1734, the towns of Waterbocht, Habsburg and Nieuwwolde as well as the villages of Nathaals and Bultenadorp are located in this municipality. Oranjewijk has the largest amount of casinos of Kronenburg; in the woods between Nieuwwolde and Oranjewijk alone a large number of luxury casino villas can be found. Annually, they attract many gambling tourists from North America.
